Design & Grow a Kitchen Garden
Step back in time and discover the beauty of the traditional kitchen garden. This versatile plot, designed for both flavor and flair, invites you to gather your own “garden-to-table” meals and fresh-cut flowers just steps from your kitchen door. Whether you prefer a structured, manicured look or the whimsical charm of an informal country garden, our class teaches you how to blend flowers, vegetables, herbs, and fruits into a garden that is as functional as it is beautiful. We’ll explore various growing methods—including raised beds, strawbales, and containers—alongside expert tips on plant care and garden design. The session concludes with a tour of JCMGA’s own kitchen garden and herbal walkway at Farmington.
