SUMMARY:Becoming An Ecologically-Minded Gardener: The Crash Course
DESCRIPTION:The times they are a changing! Gardeners are among the first aware of the differences caused by climate change in our landscapes. We see the effects of the loss of biodiversity in our properties and those of our neighbors and the impacts on birds\, butterflies\, and other pollinators and critters. Gardeners\, as University of Delaware researcher and author Doug Tallamy attests\, can also be the first line of defense to begin to soften or turn these tides. This class will describe the changes we are seeing in our spaces and discuss the things that we can do differently – more ecologically – to produce healthier\, more diverse and sustainable spaces. \nMeet at the Pavillion. Open to teens/adults. \nMaster Gardener led Educational Programing at Farmington
